I guess I never did finish the blogging task which is a shame as I actually had fun doing it and helping the less....um....willing with theirs. Although the forced participation was kind of disturbing (you either do it or else) so if we were to do something like this again i think a better approach would be to just have people who want to do it, you cant make people conform by forcing them (maybe conforming is the wrong word maybe play along) Well I am truly sorry for the delay I found myself to busy with a vacation and well work and maybe a life to keep this up to date (and I'm joking i have no life) but i will try, I might find something blog worthy one of these days.

Gaming was fun. A little low tech for my taste but for a little time waster it was fun. It also allowed me to practice my ninja skills so that's good. I don't know what else to really talk about except that I saw that Runescape was mentioned in the being and I am sad to say I have played that and yes its a long story as to why i played it but i have seen how kids go ape s*** over it, I had to dispel a few fights over gaming time. Well it looks as though web 2.0 training is coming to an end but alas i may try and keep the blog going after this is said and done.

Geotagging

So I took a look to find where I spend most of my time and low and behold I found it. The only issue I had with it was the fact that it is (the satellite picture) is a few years old (by my estimate I'm not sure) and I had hoped to see it in what would have been like the previous day. (no dice) The only other issue I had was the fact that I couldn't get a good close up picture to see who was at my place of interest as the picture got to blurry to be able to discern who was there. Overall though i thought it was fun.

Google applications and tools are a great resource if one isn't able to use word or excel. (among other Microsoft applications) I used the Google word based system and found that more enjoyable then the other as it was more simplistic and wasn't cluttered with tools that are sometimes worthless. (to me anyways)

Wow. Well these are the closet I can get to looking anything like myself. I am not fond of the anime typed one but I do kind of like the other one. My mii on my wii looks a lot more like, if i was in a video game i guess.

So for the questions. I dont have a second life (im not that lame as to popular belife but does WOW count) and no i dont think i will ever get a second life. (as this reminds me of the office episode where the divulge that Dwight has a second life) Why wouldnt i want one, I will tell you why........................

I have used Dogpile before as I had a friend tell me it was the best thing since sliced bread, I was disappointed and didn't talk to him for a month. (not really i just told him it was a pile of dog poo) To be serious for a second I did look at the other ones and did the ever important search for ones self and to no avail did I find anything on me with those engines but with Google I have found myself and I secretly clapped to myself. To conclude I will be sticking to Google as that's what I have my homepage set to at home and that's where I have my email and all that great stuff.

Podcasts

So I took a look at the podcast websites given and I found Podcstalley.com to be the better one. (or it could be just the fact that it was the only one i clicked on, you decide) Knowing that I had to find 2 podcasts about libraries I took the time and typed Library in the search bar and low and behold I found 142 search results that way and took a look at most of them and the two I found to be the most interesting to me were LibVibe which is about headline news from the library world and the other one is Library Geeks which is a place where librarians, geeks, and geek librarians geek out about libraries.

I took time to find one that interested me but burring work time to find one didn't really seem practical as it took me 10 minutes to find one that seemed at least a little interesting so I decided to put off until a later date, but I did look.

I decided to go and edit my last post because doing a little more research on this tool I found that it is much more useful then I originally thought but I also think that it would be much more useful for people who need more information on a subject. Overdrive

Upon further exploration I have found Overdrive to be a lot more interesting then previously thought. It has a lot of titles in books, music and movies. Although they lack in some more interesting titles in music and movies the selection isn't bad. One of things I dislike about it is the fact that there is a wait period before you can download a title because I wanted to download the new Odd Tomas book but found that there were 30 people ahead of me. O well I guess I will just have to break down and read it. The only other fault I had was the fact that I cant download to my I-pod which isn't that big of a deal as they seem to be getting on that so soon I will be able to download to my i-pod.

Disappointment continues as I am still lost with taking pictures from my phone and transferring them to computer (who knew it would be so hard). Things seem to be getting better as my banishment has seemed to lessen but am still over here and there often enough to say that it has not ended. Now I know that the task for this week wanted us to take a look at a Wiki that was about library's and now that's great and all and found the information on them less than interesting so I went on the web to find a good one and found one that is dear to my heart. As promised I will explain the picture posted below (no not the Captain ILL one, the one below that) it is a picture from one of my favorite show Battle star Galactica. Now to explain it further I personally don't get the Sci-fi channel so I have to have it recorded else were which is really a pain but now with the greatness that is hulu I can get on Saturday morning and watch BSG without the horrible static and noise problems that you get from VHS. ( I can not see how that was modern technology ) For the You-Tube portion of this weeks task I have completed several times over and thus don't feel the need to post another video. Before I forget I also like how Hulu has SNL clips, all though the show quality is sometimes very poor the digital shorts are almost always gems.

Captain ILL "Man of the year?"

If you have checked out Joe's blog you will have seen that he (captain ILL) has been voted Time Magazine man of the year. Now as any good blogger I can sit back and type out what I would like. With this granted power I say here that I challenge the validity of the award given because who is to say that Captain deserves it why don't I deserve such an award or any other blogger out there. With this said I would like to open this up to a public debate and see who really deserves such praise, so please readers take your time and really decide who you want to represent you as Time Magazine's man of the year. First of all I just want to say that I already tried to update this once and if failed to save and if it happens again I may just cry. Well anyway so as I tried to say before is that I wanted to send out props to groovelily for pointing out my spelling error (how embarrassing) and I will fix it in time but I think it ads a little character to the blog. So in other news today we at the Service Center had a bring your child to work day and only had one kid show up (which isn't great but it beats none) so that was good, she got to enjoy playing the wii and such but the staff also tapped into there child side and played along too, going for the dace factory game and bowling, boxing and baseball (all the B's) and this writer played a little boxing but it was not a fair game as on my own wii I have boxed enough to have over a 2,000 score which puts me over twice the score to be a pro so I naturally kicked butt. (I don't want to toot my own horn but I just did) Also I am going to try and really start to update my blog daily like I used to so keep an eye out for some more funny videos.

Well I'm sorry about my tardiness but its better to be late than to never post, so let me get started. Wow its very simple to be able to log my process now that the instructions are better wow its really simple. Wow! look its a garage sale and what is that silly goose Ryan selling, It looks like some stickers. Now you may ask yourself how much are they going to cost me and that is a very good question and I will answer that now. Well dear readers I am sorry about the tardiness of the post but its always better late than never. I hope you all had a great weekend and will start out the week on a positive note and it can't hurt that it was pay day today/yesterday so that makes the day a great day. For you of those at the Service Center you might have seen my disappointing update for the staff association but take hope in the upcoming month that I will do a better job. In other news I have found that I can watch movies and some TV shows on my I-pod while I work in processing which is nice but here is hopping i-tunes will decrease the price they charge for movies.(yeah right) Also I helped some people with their blog so I got a few people up and going so that's good. Well here is to looking forward to tomorrow. Stay beautiful Sno-Isle.

Wow RSS feeds seem very useful, no more wasted time going to websites without updated material now all I have to do is check my RSS reader. Having this tool seems like it will be very useful but have yet to find how it would be a tool for libraries but than again what do I know. Another slow day

Well I am sad to say that today was a slow and boring day, my day can be summed up in less that a sentence so here goes. My day consisted of doing the media in Circ and finishing up my E cart from yesterday and working on 2 book carts today and by the looks of it I will be out in delivery. Wow, Nobel prize here I come. In other news I watched as the weather went crazy and we had snow in March. Curses Al Gore. I took my down time and found this wonderful news clip and felt obligated to post it please enjoy,

One employee told the man that he'd "better not say that to the guy that's making your food," but the man thought it was a joke, reports said. That is, until he opened his "clamshell-style" hamburger container and discovered what he called a "loogie" on his hamburger.

When Seahawk fans go crazy but in reality what did the Steelers fan think he was doing coming in to a place dressed like that. Anyway I still owe a video so in the next post you will see another classic clip of joy.

I have completed task number 4 with ease and grace. In other news my banishment continues today and am currently working on a hellish E cart and I think i may be going slightly insane, I will keep you updated if in fact i become zombie crazy. My coworkers found a very strange Valentine in one of the children's books (pics are to come but first have to be edited so this blogger does not become an ex blogger) and that was good for a few laughs. It also hailed here to which was good for a quick laugh as well. Other than those few things today was a usual day here at Sno-Isle for me but the day is still young and something may still happen. Along with the picture I hope to add another video so I can get some people laughing, so stay tuned dear reader.

Guitar Hero?

Hello again dear reader as you may see the title to this posting is “Guitar Hero?” and you may ask how one becomes a guitar hero. Well that’s a good question and I have the answer, So Monroe had a teen event today where they needed the set up for Guitar Hero and as it happened the driver delivering to the branch forgot to give them the guitars, this is where I come in, so needing the said items at 4 and the time being 3:51 we needed quick answers and as it happened I was awarded the task of taking the guitars to Monroe which I did and low and behold the guitars were only late by 18 minutes. After this accomplishment I awarded myself the title of Guitar Hero. In other news my banishment to Materials Processing (JK) continues, if I remember right I’m on my third day, but it’s hard to keep up on days they all seem to melt together. Included in my blog is a picture of the very first cart that I have ever done and if you ask me its perfection (yeah right). Well this is most of it I hope to be able to keep up with my blog daily with what’s going on with me or with at least something funny. It seems I have misplaced my One dollar bill please if found can you return it to Ryan at the service center. The missing one dollar bill looks like this any leads are helpful.
Update: There is no reward. I repeat no reward. If you have it I demand its immediate return or else. It was my lunch money and now how am I supposed to get 4 chicken McNuggets do you want me to only buy one at 25 cents how can a kid live off just one nugget.

Well fellow readers I have been known to enjoy a movie or two and I was wondering what your favorite and and most hated are. I will start out:

My favorite: LA Confidential

My most hated: (this is hard because I hate so many) I really hate the Scary Movies, Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans . These movies suck and many like them as well and I am surprised they even get released.

So I would like to know the movies you enjoy and hate my dear readers and please don't be shy if you disagree please let me know and tell my why I am wrong.

Slow times

Dear fellow readers, things are slow here in Circulation so I thought I would take this time and update the old blog. Not much is going on I did a whole bunch of books that King County sent back so I that was fun but I think the best part was the leftovers from the recognition ceremony so i got some bacon, eggs and french toast, I hope to attended next year as it would be my 5th year here at Sno-Isle. Well I hear the wonderful chime of the delivery truck backing up which to me means work so to my very few readers, later.

Well its kinda cool to make my own blog and all. I never really thought I would ever make one so thanks web 2.0 and please teach me more. For simplicity I found making this blog was very easy the only problem I had was choosing a name for it but I found one and am happy.
